After a three year pause due to the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is restarting eligibility reviews.

If you have Medicaid or CHIP, take these steps to find out if you can keep your coverage.

Make sure HHSC has your current contact information, like your address, phone number, pregnancy, etc. as soon as possible! To review or update your contact information, visit YourTexasBenefits.com and log into your account. If you don’t have a Your Texas Benefits account, it’s easy to set one up. Use these instructions.

Check your mail for a letter from HHSC. The letter will come in a yellow envelope marked ACTION REQUIRED. It may or may not include a form. Review all contents and take any action required.

You might get text or email alerts if you signed up for e-notifications when creating Your Texas Benefits account.

Complete your renewal forms online at YourTexasBenefits.com. The best way to renew is online, but you can also renew via mail, fax, or by calling 2-1-1 and selecting option 2.

If you don’t respond to renewal or information requests from HHSC, you may lose your benefits.
