Press Conference: Community first announces plans to install fourteen food pantries in select Harlandale ISD locations

Why:

Community First Health Plans have embarked on a unique partnership with Harlandale ISD to install 14 Community First food pantries at select Harlandale ISD elementary, middle, and high schools before the start of the 2022 school year. A ribbon cutting / press conference will be held at Gilbert Elementary School located at 931 E Southcross 78214 on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 1:30 PM to mark the historic installation of the first 6 ½ -foot tall, weatherproof, 24/7 accessible pantry. 

 

Theresa Scepanski, a Harlandale ISD alum and President/CEO of Community First Health Plans, will officiate the ribbon cutting alongside Harlandale ISD Superintendent Gerardo Soto. Both leaders will be flanked by students, community leaders, supporters and the Harlandale ISD Marching Band.
