Community First Health Plans, Inc. (Community First) is the South Texas region’s only locally owned and managed not-for-profit health maintenance organization (HMO). Created in 1995 by the Bexar County Hospital District d.b.a. University Health, Community First has experienced steady growth and today has approximately 169,000 members. Community First provides HMO group health coverage to the residents of Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina, and Wilson counties. Community First also provides health care coverage through three state government sponsored managed care programs: STAR Medicaid, STAR Kids, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

Engagement Platform with SMS Service Provider.
