HHSC has updated the EVV Service Bill Codes to reflect the service billing combinations used according to STAR Health billing guidelines.
The EVV Service Bill Codes Table provides current billing codes and details for EVV relevant services in Long-Term Care, Acute Care and Managed Care programs. A discrepancy was identified in the EVV Service Bill Codes Table for certain STAR Health service billing combinations, which prevented the correct payment of the EVV services. HHSC updated the EVV Service Bill Codes Table to reflect the service billing combinations used according to STAR Health billing guidelines.
Providers should use the most up to date EVV Service Bill Codes table when billing for EVV services in order to receive correct payment.
Providers will utilize EVV Service Bill Codes Table Version 9.6, which HHSC published to the EVV Webpage (Electronic Visit Verification | Texas Health and Human Services) on November 1, 2021. These codes allow for the proper STAR Health service billing combinations which had previously had a discrepancy.
