Turn in your unneeded medication for safe disposal on Drug Take Back Day.

Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA’s) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. This nationwide event offers individuals a safe and easy way to discard their unused or expired prescription medications at local police departments and other local collection sites.

Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. That’s dangerous and often tragic. Drug Take Back Day gives Americans the opportunity to clean out their medicine cabinets and turn in – safely and anonymously – prescription drugs.

Enter your zip code and find Drug Take Back Day drop-off locations near you.

Please note: If you are unable to dispose of unused or expired medications on April 27, year-round pharmaceutical disposal locations are available. To find a disposal location in your area, visit Controlled Substance Public Disposal Locations.
