HHSC is participating in the National Academy of State Health Policy (NASHP) Maternal Child Health Policy Innovation Program. This two-year program will promote state initiatives geared to improve access to care for low income expectant and parenting women who are at risk of substance use disorder (SUD) through healthcare delivery system transformation.

A survey has been created to assist with gathering provider input to gain a better understanding of SUD treatment and referral process of pregnant and postpartum women enrolled in Medicaid, CHIP, CHIP Perinatal, and the Healthy Texas Women Program. This information will support HHSC’s integration of behavioral health care into the healthcare setting and assist in developing better training and communication related to SUD identification, referrals and intervention processes.

Please help obtain the needed information to assist in improving programs and access to care by completing this survey. NASHP Maternal Child Health Policy Innovation Program open until August 31, 2020 survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NASHP_Provider_Survey

Beginning September 1, 2024 Community First Health Plans, Inc. will be adding STAR+PLUS to its line of health care products.
