Telemedicine

Health care Virtually Anywhere

Telemedicine allows providers to see patients virtually, using a telephone or video over the internet, rather than meeting in person. Telemedicine is sometimes called “telehealth” or a “virtual visit” with your doctor. Virtual visits are similar to FaceTime, Skype, Google Video, or whatever you already use for video calls with friends and family.

Ready to make a telemedicine appointment?
Speak with your primary care provider (PCP) about what services are available via telemedicine. You can find your PCP and their phone number on your Community First Member ID card.

Here are a few common types of telemedicine visits:

  • Follow-up appointments
  • Management of chronic conditions
  • Medication management/refills
  • Consultation with medical specialists

Need help? We can help connect you with your PCP. If you prefer an in-person visit but need help getting to your appointment, your plan may also cover transportation benefits. Contact Member Services to learn more.
