- While everyone has a different blood sugar range, your Provider can help you determine your goal target. The typical blood sugar target is:
- Before you eat: 80 to 130 mg/dl
- Two hours after you started eating: Less than 180 mg/dl
- Your Provider can determine what times you need to check your blood sugar. The most common times include:
- When you first wake up (fasting)
- Before a meal
- Two hours after a meal
- At bedtime
