What does a “good” sugar level look like?

  • While everyone has a different blood sugar range, your Provider can help you determine your goal target. The typical blood sugar target is:
    • Before you eat: 80 to 130 mg/dl
    • Two hours after you started eating: Less than 180 mg/dl
  • Your Provider can determine what times you need to check your blood sugar. The most common times include:
    • When you first wake up (fasting)
    • Before a meal
    • Two hours after a meal
    • At bedtime
