Please read for an important notice for all Community First Providers about authorizations.

In July 2023, Community First will add new functionality to the Community First Provider Portal, allowing Providers to use the Portal to view decisions/outcomes of authorization requests for services after such requests are reviewed and completed by Community First. We are confident that this change will result in a more efficient communication process surrounding authorizations.

Earlier this year, Community First launched a new authorization module on the Provider Portal. Providers can currently use the Portal to:

  • Submit authorization requests for Specialist, Outpatient, and Admission
  • Upload supporting documents as part of a request
  • Save an authorization request and return to complete and submit it at a later time
  • View the status of a request
  • Perform an advanced search for submitted requests

Providers can continue to use the Portal for the actions listed above with the addition of reviewing authorization decision/outcomes beginning in July.

Community First will provide training and additional resources in the coming weeks to help our Providers navigate this change.
