COVID-19 Moderna Vaccine Administration Procedure Codes 0011A and 0012A Rate Change Effective 4/1/2021.
On December 18, 2020, in accordance with the FDA’s issuance of Emergency Use Authorization for the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine, vaccine administration procedure codes 0011A and 0012A are benefits for Texas Medicaid for individuals 18 years of age and older. Vaccine procedure code 91301 is informational only while the vaccine is distributed to providers free of charge.
