National Minority Health Month: 25 Years of Community First Health Plans

April is National Minority Health Month! Health disparities for minorities continue to threaten the health of communities during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Higher rates of poverty, housing and food insecurity, unemployment or underemployment, along with chronic medical conditions and disabilities ultimately determine how COVID-19 impacts these communities and its members.

Among these individuals are first time or expectant mothers who want the best care for their family. For 25 years, Community First Health Plans has helped give first time mothers and their babies, the best possible start.
