Community First 50th Food Pantry Celebration

Community First Health Plans celebrated the installation of our 50th food pantry at Latched Support on November 8, 2023. Community First began the food pantry initiative in 2021 to help fight food insecurity in our local community partnering with churches, schools, parks, and other organizations across Bexar County and surrounding counties. Food pantries are filled regularly with non-perishable food and other items by staff, partner organizations, and the public. Thank you to those who celebrated this milestone with us and to everyone who has donated food to keep local families fed.
Senior Day Fiesta 2022

Community First Health Plans celebrated our local senior citizens by hosting a special celebratory event at Texas Diabetes Institute on October 7, 2022. This annual tradition is designed to inform area seniors about available health care services, including our Medicare Advantage Alamo (HMO) Plan (HMO), and to enjoy festivities, including a live mariachi band, games, free giveaways, and more.
Fiesta De Los Flores 2022

Community First Health Plan participated in their first Battle of Flowers Parade for Fiesta 2022. This long standing tradition was held on April 8, 2022.
SENIOR CITIZENS
APPRECIATION DAY
August 21, 2021
Community First’s Senior Citizen Appreciation Day was held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Texas Diabetes Institute. During this fun, family-friendly event, seniors enjoyed a live mariachi band, bingo, giveaways, and received a bag of fresh produce while we were shared information with them about our new Medicare Advantage Alamo (HMO) Plan (HMO).
Community Gardening Event

We partnered with the San Antonio Food Bank to host an educational, family-friendly event. Attendees enjoyed free nutritonal workshops, a garden tour, zumba sessions, and health screenings.
