San Antonio – Community First Health Plans (CFHP) has received an Accreditation Status of Commendable from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).

NCQA accreditation is significant because this means that CFHP meets the national standards in delivering quality health care to the population. An increase in accreditation status means that CFHP has accomplished a higher standard of providing quality health care to its own members and providers.

“We are proud to have accomplished this advancement. It means Community First Health Plans is exceeding the national standards in delivering quality health care to the San Antonio and South Texas community that we proudly serve,” said Community First President and CEO Greg Gieseman.

Community First Chief Medical Officer Dr. Priti Modi-Bailey, who spearheads the accreditation process, said of the news: As an NCQA accredited organization, Community First is constantly striving to exceed the standards of delivering quality health care through our providers. We are incredibly happy that our status reflects our commitment to our members and providers.”

NCQA standards are intended to help organizations achieve the highest level of performance possible and create an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Beginning September 1, 2024 Community First Health Plans, Inc. will be adding STAR+PLUS to its line of health care products.
