As of August 1, 2023, the Adult Safety Net (ASN) Program, which helps uninsured adults receive vaccinations, no longer covers the HPV vaccine. The ASN program is managed by the Department of State Health Services and provides vaccines to uninsured adults, but individuals enrolled in Medicaid are not eligible for ASN vaccines.
If you are enrolled in Texas Medicaid, this change does not affect your coverage. The HPV vaccine is a fully covered benefit under Texas Medicaid, as outlined in state guidelines.
