SAN ANTONIO, TX (November 1, 2023) – Community First Health Plans is proud to be recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of 2023’s Top Diversity Leaders. They are one of nine providers and insurers from across the United States to be selected for this honor.
The Top Diversity Leaders in Healthcare recognition program honors the top diverse healthcare executives and organizations influencing policy and care delivery models across the country. In doing so, they are also highlighting the continued need to nurture diversity in their organizations.

Community First Health Plans was chosen for its diverse leadership composition as well as its many inclusivity initiatives, including staff accessibility to inclusivity learning and event participation, sponsorship of community organizations serving various diversity groups, the creation of a Health Equity Council to create innovative interventions for members and providers to address health inequality, and for the Community First Food Pantry initiative that fights food insecurity with nearly 50 food pantries installed across Bexar County and the seven surrounding counties.
